Building Smarter Money Habits That Actually Stick
Most people know they should save more and spend less. But knowing and doing are different things. Our program focuses on the practical side—how to make better financial choices without feeling restricted or overwhelmed.
Starting September 2025, we're running an eight-month course designed for working adults in Belgium who want to get their finances sorted. No fluff, no impossible promises. Just real strategies that fit into actual life.
Weekly Sessions
Every Thursday evening from 18:30 to 20:00. We keep sessions short because everyone's busy. You'll get clear takeaways you can apply the same week.
Sessions alternate between live instruction and group discussions where people share what's working and what isn't.
Practical Tools
Forget complex spreadsheets. We provide simple tracking methods and decision frameworks you can actually use—whether you're planning a major purchase or figuring out emergency funds.
Everything's tested with real participants before we include it in the curriculum.
Personal Progress
Monthly one-on-one check-ins help you adjust strategies based on what's happening in your life. Sometimes unexpected expenses come up. Sometimes income changes. We work with reality.
You'll have access to your instructor via email between sessions for quick questions.
What You'll Cover During Eight Months
The program moves from foundation to application. Early months focus on understanding your current patterns. Later months deal with specific scenarios and long-term planning.
Months 1-2: Getting Clear on Where You Are
Most people don't actually track their spending. We start there—building awareness without judgment. You'll identify patterns and understand why you make certain financial decisions.
By the end of month two, you'll have a baseline understanding of your money flow and the psychological triggers behind your spending habits.
Months 3-4: Building Better Systems
This is where we create practical frameworks for your specific situation. You'll design savings strategies that don't require constant willpower and spending plans that leave room for enjoyment.
We also cover dealing with debt in realistic ways—what to prioritize and how to make progress without drastically changing your lifestyle overnight.
Months 5-6: Handling Real Scenarios
Life happens. Cars break down. Medical bills arrive. Friends get married. We work through case studies of common financial disruptions and practice making decisions under pressure.
You'll also learn about different investment approaches suitable for Belgium residents, though we don't push any specific products or guarantee outcomes.
Months 7-8: Planning Forward
The final phase focuses on longer-term thinking. How to evaluate major financial decisions. When it makes sense to take on debt versus save first. How to adjust your approach as circumstances change.
You'll create a personalized financial roadmap for the next three years—flexible enough to adapt but structured enough to keep you on track.
Who's Teaching This Program
Our instructors have spent years working directly with individuals on financial planning. They've seen what works in theory versus what actually helps people change their behavior.
Leonore Vandewalle spent twelve years as a financial counselor before moving into education. She's particularly good at helping people who feel overwhelmed get started with manageable first steps.
Thibaut Lemaître comes from a background in behavioral economics and brings that perspective to understanding why smart people sometimes make decisions that don't align with their goals.
